The music being sung on the Open Day is Naylor's "Vox dicentis", Stainer in B flat (canticles), and Rose(?) responses. The psalm will be available on the day, or can be downloaded in advance from this site - please check back nearer the time.
For you own enjoyment, and to make the most of the day, singers are expected to arrive with some reasonable familiarity with the music being sung, and will therefore be expected provide their own copies. If you wish, advanced copies can be purchased with your application and posted out to you.

Robes

Robes will be worn at Evensong, so please bring your own cassock and surplice if possible. If you are unable to provide your own, please get in touch by email on choral.day@stmarkschoir.co.uk

Schedule

The day begins at 9.30am, when tea and coffee will be served as people arrive. The first rehearsal session is at 10.15, and a hot lunch is provided in the Church Hall at midday. Please indicate any dietary requirements when booking. Afternoon Tea will be served in between the last rehearsal and the service, which will be at 4pm.
The price of the day is £18, which includes lunch and tea.

There is limited free parking at St Mark's, in addition to small number of all day on-road parking directly outside the church. If you are arriving by car, please help us by indicating this on the booking form and parking neatly in the churchyard.
Swindon's train and bus stations are approx. 10 minutes by foot.
